Name: Brokenpaw
Age: 12 moons
Clan: WindClan
Rank: Medicine Cat
Appearance: Brokenpaw is not of unusual coloration. His pelt is a mixture of the purest ivory and the darkest ebony, long furred and sleek. The majority of his body is cloaked in black, soft hairs that glisten and gleam under the steady rays of the sun and blend easily with the dark atmosphere of the night. He would be disguised easily in the dark were it not for the ivory splashes that cover his jaw, chest, and paws. The markings are clean, as Brokenpaw is a very clean and proper cat, and contrast heavily against the fine black lines separating the two different colors of his frame. Brokenpaw is tall and stocky with the long, agile legs and movements of other WindClan cats, a sign of his pure blood and long family history within WindClan. Like many other cats, his eyes are emerald green and nothing too special, though they are always brimming with laughter and good cheer. The left one is slightly clouded, a sign of his partially blindness. He can only make out faint lines, shapes, and flickers of motion with his left eye but the right eye is perfectly fine so the birth defect has not hindered him in any way. His ears are quite large but proportionate to his head and body size. His hearing is extraordinarily good; perhaps that is because of his partially blindness. Protruding from his jaw are long, white whiskers, All in all, he is an ordinary looking cat except for his cloudy eye and misaligned jaw. He was born with a crooked jaw, causing his top teeth to stick out a little on the right side like a sort of lopsided grin. This birth defect was what earned him the name Brokenkit because his mother mistakenly thought his jaw to be broken. When she found out that it wasn't, she decided to keep the name, anyway.
Personality: Contrary to what his name makes others believe, Brokenpaw is actually a rather cheerful cat. He is very proper and polite, always saying "please" and "thank you," and a very strong believer in StarClan. He is very firm in his beliefs and will willingly stand up and fight for his beliefs, be it with words or claws, just to make sure he gets his point across. While he isn't a very violent or hostile feline, refusal to believe that StarClan exists, or calling him crazy and stupid for believing in them, is a sure fire way of getting him upset and he has always been the type of cat that can hold a grudge. While not physically violent - he's never been a huge fan or supporter of fighting - Brokenpaw is temperamental and argumentative. Once in an argument, he refuses to give up until others see things his way or at least apologizes for hurting his feelings. Rarely does he ever apologize unless he truly believes that he is at fault for his actions or words but he usually believes that anything he says or does is right. He never says anything to insult someone - that's one thing he will always apologize for - but is never afraid to speak his mind and tell others what he thinks. If you can avoid getting into an argument with him, however, he's actually really easy to get along with. He loves handing out compliments to others and making everyone laugh and smile and feel good about themselves. Brokenpaw believes strongly that what others might consider handicaps - like his eye and jaw - are actually strengths - he uses his enhanced hearing as an example of this. He's also very flirty but not in an obnoxious way. He's more of the type to go up to a female and just casually talk to them and hand them compliments and smile and make them feel comfortable and wanted. For friends, he is always there to listen and to be a shoulder to cry on. He has always been very understanding of those in need and loves to help those who need it.
Important History: Nothing too noteworthy happened in Brokenpaw's life. He had a very normal, uneventful childhood but his family's history within the Clan goes on for generations. He comes from a long, purebred line of WindClan cats; some have even said that his blood goes back to the very beginning of time for the Clans. Brokenpaw likes thinking that this makes him special since finding a cat with such pure blood as himself is something rare, especially this day in age, and he prides himself with being the newest generation thus far. He was born alongside one other kit, a sister, who is five minutes younger than him. They were never super close nor were they enemies. The two felines just had different ways of thinking and different personalities. Placing the both of them in the same den for very long and there was bound to be a quarrel of some sort. Their mother would always reprimand them in the nursery and make them apologize to each other but that never stopped them from bickering back and forth. Eventually, the queen gave up and just let them figure things out for themselves. Thankfully enough, the two siblings learned to live with each other as the near apprenticeship age and soon settled into a comfortable, less-strained relationship. Their father, who never really got too involved in their lives - he was always a much more reclusive tom-cat - died when they were five moons old. He lost his life while defending the camp against a rabid badger. It was a tough, grueling battle that resulted in the deaths of three other warriors and an apprentice. The death was difficult for the kits' mother to handle, she was many moons older than most queens, and the she-cat fell ill a few weeks after her children's apprentice ceremony. When the newly made apprentices made it to their seventh moon, their mother passed on to be with StarClan. The herbs given to her could not do much to get her out of her deep depression and, once the she-cat refused to eat or to drink, the died of malnourishment. Brokenpaw took his mother's death the hardest but made a promise to himself not to let his mother's death have been in vain. He promised never to let another cat fall victim to depression as long as he could help them and do something about it.
