Apple feather awoke to the sunlight streaming into the medicine den. Opening his eyes, he got up and stretched. Looking around, his eyes stopped at his herb store. He grunted at the pitiful sight. Giving himself a quick grooming, he walked out of the medicine den. He would need to gather herbs. He was low from the previous winter and needed fresh ones badly. But first he needed to eat. Walking over to the freshkill pile, he chose a fish and crouched down to eat it. Biting in to it, he realized it was salmon, his favorite! He guesses he hadn't fully awakened yet given he hadn't noticed what kind of fish he chose.
